Forkview - camera system for 2-stage mast forklifts makes material handling efficient

Description :

Save valuable time and reduce the risk of accidents with the ForkView camera system for forklifts. This robust and compact camera monitor system from Stoneridge-Orlaco provides the driver of a 2-stage mast forklift with a perfect view of the fork. ForkView therefore increases safety in the warehouse, saves time when moving goods and creates a more ergonomic environment for drivers.

Why equip your machine with forkview – orlaco’s camera system for 2-stage mast forklifts?

Increases safety

Poor visibility around forklifts is one of the most common causes of accidents in the workplace. When a forklift truck is carrying a load, the front area is completely obscured, which creates a number of blind spots. Fitting cameras to a forklift increases safety by giving the driver direct visibility of the floor in front of the truck. Cameras provide a clear view of obstacles and of areas that would otherwise be blind spots, helping to prevent accidents.

Improves ergonomics

The ergonomically positioned monitor allows drivers to adopt a natural viewing position, which means they no longer have to look up at an awkward angle. The image on the monitor gives the driver a clear view from the fork. This relieves strain on the neck and shoulder muscles, reducing absence caused by sickness and increasing productivity.

Robust quality

ForkView consists of a camera, a monitor and a dynamic cable. The entire camera system is waterproof, shockproof and works in the most extreme temperatures (-40°C to +85°C). ForkView is therefore suitable for the most demanding of conditions, such as in cold stores.

Work twice as fast

A camera system gives drivers a better view, which saves time and increases productivity. A driver can work twice as fast using ForkView as without a camera system. The camera system therefore quickly pays for itself by reducing damage and increasing efficiency and driver comfort.

Multiple vision solutions

Stoneridge-Orlaco has developed various vision systems for forklift trucks. Depending on the application, the driver’s requirements and the type of forklift, the available options are Fork view, View-on-forks and Mid-mast view.

Fork view
Fork view is mounted on the inside of the fork. Its special shape and rugged housing ensure that the camera is not damaged when loading or unloading pallets. The opening angle of 51 degrees provides the driver with a clear view of both the left-hand and right-hand forks. The driver looks down the forks and sees directly on the monitor whether or not the fork is appropriately positioned, ensuring forks are inserted into the pallet openings correctly. Fork view is suitable for reach trucks and side loaders.

Mid-mast view
With the Mid-mast view system, the camera is mounted on the mast cross-beam of the innermost mast section. This allows the driver to position the truck optimally as it provides a view of the forks after free lift of the machine. Since the camera ‘looks’ underneath the forks, the driver also has a good view of the beams when putting the pallet down. The Mid-mast view system is particularly suitable for reach trucks.

View-on-forks
With the View-on-forks system, the camera is mounted on or under the fork carriage. This system gives the driver a clear view of the forks or other attachments, so that the truck can be positioned optimally. This allows goods to be picked up or put down correctly on the first attempt. The View-on-forks system is suitable for reach trucks and side loaders. The camera system is also suitable for other attachments. It can be used on equipment such as rotators, paper roll clamps and roll prongs.
