Trust RadarEye, Orlaco’s active detection system that promptly warns you of objects and people near your vehicle. A clear audible signal will warn you, and the hazard area will be highlighted with a transparent overlay on a monitor so you know for certain when you can drive and turn safely, preventing collisions and giving you peace of mind.
In mining, port areas, construction sites and distribution, work is carried out using large machines. In these areas, tight spaces and extreme conditions such as snow, rain, cold and dust can cause safety risks. Drivers and operators have no visibility of blind spots around the vehicle due to the driver’s elevated position and the size of the machine. Accidents are just waiting to happen and can cause not only physical injury and material damage, but also considerable time loss.
RadarEye offers extra comfort and efficiency in tough working conditions. RadarEye switches on automatically when there is a dangerous situation, so you can fully concentrate on your work knowing you will only be warned when necessary. The system can also be configured exactly how you like it, so the system warns you whenever you want.
RadarEye is particularly suitable for larger vehicles that continuously drive back and forth. Examples include reach stackers and empty container handlers in port areas, dozers and wheel loaders on construction sites, mining vehicles and trucks that are used for urban distribution. As well as the rear view, the view to the front and sides of the machines is also limited. RadarEye provides added value for this type of machines.
In addition to all Orlaco PAL/NTSC monitors, RadarEye can be integrated on all third-party monitors with a PAL/NTSC video input via the SRD Interface box. This means that RadarEye can be used independently of an Orlaco SRD monitor, and standard camera systems can easily be expanded with active radar detection. The box integrates radar alerts directly into the view on the existing monitor via visual overlays. Audible signals can also be used.
One RadarEye SRD sensor covers an area of up to 20 meters with a detection angle and detection height of 70° and 11°. You can easily expand the detection area by using multiple radar sensors. The detection area is displayed in different zones using transparent overlays. The distance of the area to be detected can be set individually via the intelligent menu on the monitor. The deactivation of RadarEye can also be set based on the direction of travel or speed. An example of this would be deactivation of the radar on the back of the vehicle, as this prevents unnecessary warnings from behind when you are driving forward.
RadarEye uses Doppler radar technology. The Doppler effect is used to produce speed data about objects at a distance. This is done using a microwave signal that is continuously deflected off the sensor in order to then analyze how an object has changed the frequency of the reflected signal. This results in immediate and highly accurate detection of an object relative to the sensor. Thanks to this technology, RadarEye has the shortest delay in the market.
The system is designed to work optimally in the toughest conditions. Splashing mud, dust, rain and snow, and even falling leaves do not disrupt the detection. Without unnecessary warnings, work can be completed quickly and efficiently and you can do it more comfortably.
